VIRTUAL REALITY HEADSET

A virtual reality headset projects two

slightly different images onto separate

video displays positioned in front of

the user's eyes. The brain makes sense

of these images by combining them

of to give an impression distance.

Motion-tracking sensors in the head-

set collect data on the user's

movements so that the images can

be updated appropriately. The 3D

graphics are combined with stereo

sound to give the impression of a

3-dimensional space.
